OOTD and New Ideas

We woke up today, excited for our blog reaching over 80 views, (not that impressive to most but we are super grateful for each and every person who stopped by and took a gander at our posts) and decided to switch it up a bit from our usual routine. We decided to have a mini photography session in our backyard to take record of our outfits of the day (OOTD). This is not a common tradition for us, but if anyone reading this likes the idea please let us know and we will continue to do more of this. What we liked best about our outfits was that it was all affordable and follows the pop of color trend that appears to be in season yet again.

After our photos, and the baby finally waking up from his three hour nap, we decided it was time to let these outfits see scenery other then our kitchen. A few errands needed to be achieved before the day was over so we hopped in the car, pumped up the jams (our current favorite is "Treasure" by Bruno Mars) and headed out to our destinations. Once we got the boring stuff over with we decided to poke our noses into shops for some inspirations. Shops such as Francessca's Boutique and Anthropologie have become instant favorites of mine, although they lay on the pricier side. Even though I hardly ever purchase from either of them (one dress I just couldn't resist, comment if you would like to see a picture of it for a different post) I do like to browse through the endless rows of beautiful things and draw inspirations of styles, cuts, and fabrics that could be used for our Goodwill outfit renovations.

Then came the part that was not so easy for us to avoid spending a few extra dollars, Charming Charlie. For those of you who don't know this beautiful glorious accessory heaven that is made into a store is divided into color coordinated sections that consists of jewelry, clothes, and purses of that same color. Not to mention they have shoes and sunglasses as well! Basically the worst place for a woman's wallet. We did do some damage, but luckily it was only in the reduced price section and multiple purchases are to be used for transforming into better and beautiful things.

It was time for a break, and nothing sounded more refreshing to us then to enjoy some frozen yogurt in the desert heat! But for the baby he chose to have an alternative way to cool down. Having an outside mall may be nice during the cooler seasons, but in the summertime it is just hot and miserable. What is nice about this specific one is that they have a small section reserved for multiple mini geysers that display various amounts of water for kids to run and play in. And Ethen (Anne's son) absolutely loved it! He was crawling all over and sticking his head near the hole before it sprouted back to life and shot him straight in the face while he laughed uncontrollably. It was one of the cutest sites to observe and made the heat a little less revolting.

All in all it was a very productive day for our household. We enjoyed spending some time in the sun and getting ideas for many more crafts that are to come!
