Our Summer Wishlist

Style, a difficult topic to discuss due to everyone having a completely different definition on the topic. To each their own should be the Webster's definition for fashion. With this in mind it is truly a blessing to see so many different styles for every season that goes into fashion trends.

With the seasons changing we both decided it is also time for us to transition in the styling department. Because I only have a year left in college and Anne is going in a new direction for her career we believe it is time for a revamp of our wardrobes. When we are spending time at home or shopping it is fine to throw on some jeans and a comfy t-shirt, but for possible future careers it is not an option either of us are choosing.

When we go out shopping we keep in mind that we will not pass up style even though our budgets do not allow for a ton of leeway. Instead we go about looking through stores that catch our attention, even if the price tags are well over budget, and try to find similar styles or thrift store transformations that we can actually afford.

Dresses are honestly my current obsession at the moment. Not only are they easy to chuck on, but adding the perfect accessories into the mix can allow for it to be the perfect spring/summer day attire or transitioned into a night out on the town. Hoping these similar styles shown above will enter my closet very soon.

Anne is loving the high neckline found on dresses, rompers and blouses. This style screams professional yet adding ruffles and bows gives it a feminine touch. Buttoning up and bold patterns are also inspirations Anne is taking into consideration for her next alterations to her own wardrobe.

No ensemble is complete without accessories. What others fail to add we find it is crucial to add these final details to the outfit. We noticed that the floral designs is making a huge comeback and hope to incorporate that into multiple designs we create. Chucking on a summer scarf to add some color to a darker outfit is another way to add a pop of color and make yourself stand out of the crowd. We are so glad that window shopping is not just a hobby for us, but a way to draw inspiration and incorporate it into our closets!
